Something is growing on my dwarf puffer. It looked like a "wart" on left side of it's stomach last week but it's its mutated a bit as its gone to the side of it's mouth (no longer on the stomach area). Now there appears to be a different looking small patch on his left fin and a protrusion near his right jaw (looks like a wart). She's active and still eating (tail not curled and color seems good)

I see it just on one of the 3 DPF's. I know if I wait for it to stop eating it will be too late so should I try and isolate and treat it even though I don't know what it is? Should I treat it in the tank with the rest? Should I not do anything at all?

Tank has been running about 6 months with other fish but I revamped it with DPF's last month. The DPF's have been in there for about 4 weeks.
10 gallon with 3 DPF's, 2 Otto's, and 1 amano shrimp. Lots of plastic plants and a few bundles of anacharis.

According to Petco my Nitrites, Nitrates, and Ammonia are better than there's (sure that's not saying much but I didn't get the numbers)
Prime for dechlorinator
50% water changes weekly
78-80 degrees
PH is 7.6
Frozen Blood Worms although i did feed them live blood worms from a reputable source as a treat for a few days.

Many Thanks for what insight you can provide!!!

Hey jctse,

Well it's kind of odd that it's only in a couple areas and not a lot, because when I first look at it I was thinking ich. The thing about ich though is that it'll get all over the body. Hmm... I'll do a little research and get back to you.

That looks like ich to me. Mine started on my clown loaches as one tiny white dot on one of the loaches. Once it turned into noticeable ich it spread fast. Got some ich treatment and they got through it. Most likely they had it or are sensitive to ph changes I believe that is usually what causes it for my loaches. I would use a mild ich treatment or move him to a recovery tank if you got it. I've heard you can also use aquarium salt and turn the heat up to about 84. The heat gets the ich to release from the fish then they die in the medicated water.
