hello,

i have newly introduced (11 days ago) electric blue ram to my 240L tank. Yesterday i noticed one of hes eye starting to pop out (swelling). I did some research on web and i think it might be popeye disease. Other eye is ok tho.

NH4 - 0
NO2 - 0
NO3 - 5

doing weekly 20-30% water change. Not overstocked.

should i separate and start to try treating him? any recommendations with what i should treat?

here is youtube video of my blue ram: http://youtu.be/6JLK4H3V_ZY

Yes remove that fish! Rams are very very fragile and will react negatively first depending on water quality. Sometimes the bacteria you use is the cause. My rams had constant problems until I kept the pH at 6ish and used stability bacteria from seachem

Sorry, but I never had a ram survive from popeye

Is the new ram being picked on?
1 eye can be injury and I note a white something or other(search this phrase if not medically certified),over his eye?
Could it have run into something?
Your parameters seem good.
What is the temp?
Get it up over 80 if tank mates will tolerate.
How long has tank been set up, and who else is in tank(stocking list?)?
I saw at least 1 other ram????

tank has been running for 10 months. I have eheim 2078 filter 700 l/h and i have 18w UV running 24/7. I should change the lamp tho.

this is the stocking list:
Dropbox - Error - Simplify your life

i have not noticed heavy agression everybody have their own corner. And at this moment this one ill blue ram is still active and eating well.

I think I'll make a bacterial and sponge treatment to the whole tank. Just in case?
