Ok weird situation. Got a cardinal tetra in really bad shape. Figured he wouldn't have made it while I was at work. Still alive but barely. Just lying at bottom of tank. Barely moving. Want to euthanize. But no clove oil or alcohol. Problem is I can't leave my apt. Not to get into current events but my city is under curfew. What is an easy way to put him out of misery for somebody who is very squeamish

does your sink have a disposal? either that or an ice bath....ice water will shock it.

What is more humane. To suddenly put it into ice cold water or to slowly lower temp

Ice bath. It will shock it, then kill it.

Leave a cup of ice in the freezer for around 10-15 mins, with tank water, then take the fish and out it in. Puts them to sleep and freezes the nervous system. Sorry about your fish, it's always hard to put them down.
