I noticed a little problem with my pleco's eye the other day. My water is pristine, so I was surprised to find one of her eyes was swollen. It is only one eye, so bacterial is not as likely as an injury, correct? I've been keeping watch for awhile and there has been no change. Treat for bacterial infections? Parasites? What am I looking at?

Yes, you are correct. A single swollen eye is most commonly caused by injury. Internal bacterial infections typically result in both eyes being afflicted equally but generally there are a host of other symptoms as well. Parasitic infections will also have various other symptoms.

I would make sure the water is kept pristine and keep a close watch on the eye and fish for anything else that may be suspect. Let us know if we can be of further help! :)
