Our Female betta, for the last 5 days or so, has been doing very poorly. She is getting worse. The last few days she has just been laying on her side, barely breathing....

I hate that she's been suffering so long.

We want to do something for her of course, but are not sure what. Any ideas? We already gave her a full water change on Monday. She is in a 5g Fluval tank. I think it is the Fluval Spec model.

We love this little fish so much.

Anything? I keep thinking shes close to going, but she is clinging to life the last 3 days or so.... it's breaking my heart.

Just keep changing the water daily. Make sure you dechlorinate the new water. You could try adding some aquarium salt. Maybe a couple of table spoons per gallon.

That would stress her out so bad, she already got really stressed every time we changed the water.

Thanks though.

Thank you. I buried her yesterday :'(

I just went to say hi to her.... and remembered.... :(
