Fin Rot?

I have a black Moor who for the last couple of weeks has developed a sore right before his back fin. It is a white bump. I have been using melafix and salt to try to heal it and it does not seem to be working. He has to wedge him self in between things to stay on the bottom of the tank because this sore just makes him float right to the top. The last couple of days he has gotten worse. He is not very active and just lays at the bottom of the tank. Any suggestions? What other medicines are there that I can use? TIA

You should probably qt him, like i am doing to my fish. Then you may want to start a cycle of antibiotics. I just went to lfs today to get some. This may help your guy/gal. good luck, wish I could offer more, but I am in my own crisis right now.

Thanks I hope your fish pulls through. What kind of antibotics would someone reccomend? Name, etc...
