Fish died

Help I have a 60 gal tank and my Mickey Mouse platty just died with no obvious symptoms I am fairly new and I've had my fish for about a year I saw my platty swimming around fine I come back a few minutes later and my fish is floating upside down how can I treat this and what caused it I had a cobalt blue gourami that died without notice to please look at my pics my ph is low and somthing is wrong with my rocks I believe I am using a ph conditioner to raise it to 7.0 also should I buy a new platty and gourami both of them are lonely I'm wondering if they will get stressed. Any advice will help thxs.

Can u post all your water parameters. And, what is tap water pH?

Do you have any pics of Mickey Mouse platy when he was alive for comparison?

I don't have any platy, so idk what is normal, but to me his fins look a little short.

Hope someone can help you.

Nitrite 0
Ph 6.0
Ammonia 0.6
Tap water ph 7.3 hard to tell it comes as a brownish colour
I just realize I was testing wrong and my nitrate is dangerously high I'm giong to do everyday water changes till it's lowered
Could that be why what else can I do to help get my nitrate down

That ammonia is high. Possibly died from ammonia poisoning. When he was dead did you pull him right out or was he in there for a bit?

I would definitely do 50% water change to get the ammonia from .6 to .3

You can use baking soda to raise the ph, but look up how to do it correctly. Err on the side of under dosing and make it gradual.

Ph can drop because of the other parameters being bad. A water change can also help raise the ph again too

Fish died

If pH is 7.3 and tank is 6. Do you have a lot of driftwood? If not, retest nitrite. When nitrites are high, the water goes acidic.

I agree, big water changes will help the most. Then, monitor water every 2 to 3 days.

Post a pic of the whole tank if you can.
