Fish losing color

My gourami and my upside down catfish are losing their color.

It's so sad

I am a new aquarium owner, I've had my tank for about a month. All my levels are sky high, and I'm doing my best to bring them down. Fishfreek gave me rad advice.

But... what should I do about my gourami and upside down catfish?

They are both acting normal, swimming and playing. Actually, the catfish only comes out at night. He also swims in circles and is a complete basket case [He always acted like that].

Any ideas?

Sounds like the fish are showing a stress coloration due to the high ammonia and nitrite. As the levels come down, the fishes color should return to normal.
