fresh water fish face is being eaten ?

I have fresh water fish, one of the types blood fin tetra is having major problem the face of the fish is mysteriously being eaten away had 15 of them and im loosing 1 or 2 a day all other fish ok any one know whats wrong thanksa

Sounds nasty! First thing that comes to mind is Columnaris. It is a bacterial infection that eats away at a fish's mouth (usually). It's very contagious and fast moving. How are the tanks water parameters?

It definitely sounds like a nasty bacterial infection, most likely columnaris. This is a great link wih more info as well- please ask any questions!
