Furan-2 information needed

Was recommended furan-2 at local fish store for treatment on my goldfish fugal disease. I have been trying to do some research on the negative effects of this product but that doesn’t seem to be a topic of discussion anywhere. If anyone can give me Information on this item I would be greatly appreciative!

I’ve found it very safe, except for plants.

I’ve only used it for bacterial infections, not sure on fungal. Is it definitely fungal?

Sent pictures of my fish to gold fish island and was told over the phone this is for sure fugal disease, I was initially treating for ick and it killed my largest fish on the second round of dosage. Now I still see white spots on my fish and was told to try furan-2 by the local fish store

Not a goldfish expert so have to bow out there.

What was in the ich treatment? I’ve found it responds quite well to treatment in a few days whereas bacterial infections (unless breeding stars) are much harder.
