I noticed my lamp eye attacking my ghost shrimp around noon today and that he was turning reddish orange so i quickly moved him to my Bettas tank with a fish i know will leave him be and he has but hes been in this state for a while hes still alive but whats going onIMG_9916.jpg

Molting or dying. By the whitish color looks like the latter. Typically dont molt in open but is possible. Monitor the situation.

Thanks he died later that night. He had just molted a few days prior right in the wide open at the front of my tank. RIP Fred

Ghosts are not super long lived or the most durable. I like them an always include them in my tanks. Probably mainly because there so cheap.
