Hello! this morning I noticed my beloved male Cherry Barb had something wrong with one of his gills. I have attached some pictures of him

He is about 2 years old and the tank has been set up for about a year.
The tank parameters are as follows: pH 6.8-7.0, Ammonia 0ppm, Nitrate 0ppm, Nitrite 0ppm.
Usually, vacuum the gravel and do a water change every couple of weeks.
I have recently changed their food from Sera San Color Flakes to TetraMin Plus Tropical Flakes.

I don't really know what to do moving forward.
Is this something that I need to treat the whole tank for?
What is the likelihood of my cherry barb surviving?
How can I help him?

Hopefully someone with more knowledge than me can weigh in at some point....
It honestly does not look fungal to me.
And I have delt with fungal infections...
Usually red and inflamed gills could be nitrate/nitrite poisoning... but you say it is at 0..
Is it showing any odd behaviors? Gasping? Clamped fins? Sideways swimming? Staying at surface? Anything out of the ordinary??
Could be possible that it was the food change, if that is THE ONLY change you made... maybe switch back if they seemed better off before the switch??
I honestly am pretty clueless at this point...
I really hope the little guy makes it!!
Best of luck!!

Thank you for replying! His behavior seems normal still at this point so Im also not sure what to do.
I think I will switch the food back! I’m worried about starting any treatments because I don’t know what it is
