Guppies not eating?

I have two guppies in my 5.5 gallon tank. One is a blonde delta guppy and the other is a turquoise guppy. They play together a lot and are doing well except when I feed them. I don't know if I give them too much or they just aren't hungry but they don't eat a lot so it just sinks to the bottom of the tank. I don't want to waste food or make the tank unhealthy because of excess food on the bottom so I'm feeding them once a day right now. Is anything wrong, and if so, any suggestions?

it might be too cold. I hope you have some filtration in there as well. Guppies in warm healthy water Will eat non stop, even until they explode and die. Any symptoms their showing?

The temperature of the tank is 78 degrees Fahrenheit.

Sry, here in Chesapeake, Virginia, it's finally fall and we had a temperature drop. The tank drop from 78 to 76. I got a heater and now it's back up to 78.

They are eating better. The temp. Is 80-82 degrees Fahrenheit.
