1 BLUE RAMIREZI ( got it about 2 years ago)
5 PLANTS ( I DONT REMEMBER THE NAME BUT THERES A PICTURE UPLOADED) (1 IS HIDE - LUDWIG) i recently added a lucky bamboo with the leaves out of the water.
1 young assassin snail
a whole bunch of regular snails
FILTER: TETRA WHISPER FOR 40G TANK
TANK SIZE: 20G
HEATER - AVARAGE OF 78F
FLUVAL CO2 MINI KIT FOR 20G (recently added)
plant pack fundamentals lvl1 (recently started dosing)
I have this tank for 6 months and never used CO2 or anything extra. Since the first day the water hardness (GH) was always "very hard" but the water test "easystrips TETRA" keep popping "hard" no matter what. Regular water changes, testing the tap water after adding the water condition (nothing wrong with it) i even tried a water softener pillow a month ago but didn't change a thing.
About 2 days ago my GUPPY (adult male i had for 2 months) died and he was with his head really red and bigger than the body but nothing exploded or anything ( he was missing the right gill). TODAY my dojo loach have a red head ( he is active for now, digging the roots and playing around, never got stuck or anything).
I did the TETRA EASYSTRIPS 6-1 and i found out that the water parameters are:
NO3- SAFE
NO2- SAFE
GH- HARD (NEVER CHANGED SINCE I HAVE THIS AQUARIUM)
chlorine- SAFE
KH- IDEAL
PH - 7.8/8.4
