1~What type of fish is afflicted? In addition, please describe what is wrong with the fish to the best of your ability (i.e. cotton like growth, bloated, etc.).
I have a male guppy that, I had thought was a pregnant female for like two weeks now, I just didn't think to look at the sex I figured it was just pregnant. I now realize he is a he and he looks like he is about to pop ImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1400700459.282938.jpg ImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1400700489.167909.jpg he also looks like his spine I bent of broken.

2~What are your tank parameters (ammonia, nitrites, nitrates, temp, pH)? Please give exact values.
7.2 ph, 80degrees F, .25 ammonia, 0 nitrite, 20 nitrate

3~ How large is the tank? How long has the tank been set up?
20gal, tanks been set up about 10 months

4~What type of filtration are you using? Please give the name and number (i.e. Fluval 304) and amount of gph if known. I'm not sure, it's the one that came with my tank, and I don't even remember what brand tank this is 5~How many fish are in the tank? What kinds of fish are they and what are their current sizes? 27 fish in total, a Rafael catfish, bumblebee catfish, Chinese algae eater, and a three inch pleco. All the fish are small except the gourami, which is full size 6~When is the last time you did a water change and vacuum the gravel? How often do you do this? How much water do you remove at a time? A month ago we gravel vacuumed it, a couple days ago I took water off the top. This is a low maintenance tank what with the amount of plants in it, usually remove about 10 gallons at a time, the other day I just took out about 3. 7~How long have you had the fish? If the fish is new, how did you acclimate it/them? This fish wash a guppy that born in the tank but has grown to a decent size, about medium for a guppy 8~Have you added anything new to the tank--decor, new dechlorinator, new substrate, etc.? The only thing that is new is my gourami, which is acting fine, a guppy who I found dead right before I started making this post and a packaged plant from petsmart. 9~What kind of food have you been feeding your fish, have you changed their diet recently? I feed flake food every night except for about two or three trimmed a week they get peas to help with digestion. I'm worried that I have a parasite in this tank because why else would he be so big? Unless he is just fat?

Judging by your symptoms, it could be dropsy. Unfortunately, it is almost always fatal and irreversible. It could also be a parasite, but it is more likely dropsy because of the presence of the bent spine and by looking at your pictures, he is hanging out towards the time; which is also a symptom of dropsy. I would suggest separating him from the tank because it can sometimes be contagious.

Okay thank you. Do you know how long dropsy usually takes to affect fish? Because he's been like this for almost two weeks. :/

I have lost two other fish to dropsy but it was always sudden and one day they looked like a pine come, but otherwise wouldn't eat and then would hang at the top and stay by themselves. He seems to be just as active and still eating. If it is dropsy I don't know what I'm doing wrong with my fish to have them keep going out this way :/

I know it's a blury picture, but I just wanted to ask a question. If you see the little dot on the back of him, it looks like he is trying to go to the poop but the problem is, it's not the color of any food I feed. It looks like he's passing an intestine or something. As I write this I about to put him down only because he is getting worse and I jus can't stand to watch him suffer anymore. But does anyone have an idea of what this thing is he is passing? Would it possibly be organs or maybe a parasite? It's just a big blob stuck too him, hasn't gotten bigger or smaller. Anyway, thanks in advance.
