Help! Weird spot on Yellow Lab.

Just discovered a large white spot near the tail of my yellow lab.Need some help identifying what it is.

No, no tail or anything protruding from the bump itself.

At first I thought it might be a anchor worm or parasite. I'm not much help really. Bacteria, fungal...?? Sorry. Maybe search some images of fin rot. Wish I could help more

I appreciate the input, I took the pictures to a local shop. The owner said it looks like the result of an altercation and to quarantine him for awhile.we will se what happens.
