I got a betta fish about a month ago. Recently I noticed a bulge on her stomach and thought she may be bloated so I'm fasting her, although now I have noticed fin loss and wonder if it's a physical injury??
She is still very active but the injury/illness is looking worse than a couple days ago. I've been doing regular water changes and adding stress coat; is there anything else I should do? And what do you think this could possibly be?

Looks like hemorrhagic septicemia. If that's what it is it can only be treated with internally with food dosed with a broad spectrum antibiotic. Aquarium co-op, Aquarium science. Com, and Hikari have instructions on how to medicate food. It needs to be an antibiotic that treats gram negative and gram positive bacteria

Okay ill look into antibiotics right away and keep an eye on her! Thanks for replying!
