Hiding Guppy

One of my male guppies has been alternating between hiding in the corner and lying on the substrate, but quickly swimming away whenever I go near the tank. The only other symptom is that his gills are moving very fast. I tried doing a large water change, adjusting the flow of the filter, adding some salt, but nothing seems to be working. I would quarantine him, but the quarantine tank is currently filled with fry and I don't want to stress him out further.

He still get excited about food, but the rest of the time, he just sits there.

Who knows. I would like to help you but I'm not a psychic. It could be anything or nothing. Maybe try adding some more water flow or an air stone to help breathe.....

Could anything be bullying him? It all just sounds very stress related. Otherwise, same here really, if there's no external symptoms very hard to say.

It's too late, he died yesterday. But thanks for the help, I will definitely use your advice in the future.
