Hillstream Loach "Patchy Disease" Question

Hi guys. I think my loach may have this disease and is displaying the symptoms.

This is where I got my info: Disease Treatments For Hillstream Loaches — Loaches Online

Will this disease affect my other fish? The fish as tetras, a danio, three glass catfish, and a pleco.

Can't say whether it will affect your other fish, but the treatment for it should be the same regardless. That's why it's a good odea to use a QT tank for new stock, better to treat less fish in a smaller volume of water. If the treatment doesn't work, at least the losses are limited.

Ya know I noticed mine has some lighter spots a few weeks ago and he's still around..this says they die really quickly if they have it. But are you noticing the rapid breathing too?

That's EXACTLY like mine; yes, I do notice the rapid breathing! And he's lasted weeks even though he has a light streaky patch down his back... that's so weird.

Oh frick. Well I haven't noticed the rapid breathing but I'll have a serious eye on him today. I'm guessing those treatments he is talking about aren't available just down at petco...
