How should I leave the carbon insert...

Hi guys,

I just started a treatment in my 40 gallons tank yesterday night of Quick Cure (half dose). I want to remove this medication from my water in order to switch to something else (Fluke Tabs).

I have a carbon insert available. How long (in term of hours) should I leave it in my filter in order to remove all trace of the original medicine ?

You can leave it in there until it loses it's "active" properties...about 3-4 weeks is good. There should be no trace of the meds.

Actually I wanted to know how long should I leave the carbon insert in the filter in order to remove as much as I can of the Quick cure med... I need to treat the tank with flukes tabs asap. (today or tomorrow the latest)

I can't say that all or even most of the original med will be gone within 24 or 48 hours. Doing a 50% PWC however, will aid in removing the original meds.
