I need help with my discus fish!

My discus fish isn’t eating, isn’t happy, and looks like hes dying :’(

This is my partners fish and we really don’t want him to die.. Our ammonia was pretty high so I do think that is what’s really affecting him. Is there any other tips on how to lower ammonia levels? We’ve done two water changes already and he looks even worse ahhh

Ammonia level
Nitrite level
Nitrate level
TDS if possible

How long have you had him?
What size is the tank?
What was your water change schedule.... amount of water changed and frequency?
What was your last ammonia reading?
Do you use dechlorinator and what brand?

Discus require very warm, stable, cycled water. They are not the fish species in which to conduct a "fish-in" cycling process. IMO you are going to have to attain pristine water parameters asap, zero ammonia, zero nitrite & less than 20 nitrates. Bump the temp up to 84 - 86 degrees. Hope he makes it.
