UPDATE: I returned the cherry barbs to the fish store, as they were the ones that showed signs of infestation. Turns out this particular store has had a problem with ich recently as they had about 4 "hospital" tanks in the back where they were treating infested fish. I tried to recommend that they raise the heat in their tanks but they didn't want to hear that... anyway I lost a snail and one cory, but my main tank is sitting steady at 86-88 degrees with no signs of infestation on any of the other fish.
Thanks again for the input, as I said, it has been a while and I don't want to miss anything.

I was also wondering, when putting new fish in QT, would it be a good idea to keep the QT tank at 86 with a little salt in it in order to kill off any ich that might be present?
