Ich ich ich, advice please

Found a single fish (a Variatus Platy if that makes any difference) with a few ich spots on it.

I instantly rushed out and bought Love Fish Ich treatment.

I've followed the instructions given, 15ml for a 160l tank.

Remove any carbon or zeolite filter media, I don't have any.

Pour the meds into the flow from the filter, I have 3 compartments and have split 5ml into each section..


Now it says repeat the dosage after FOUR DAYS, it doesn't mention water changes AT ALL..

Do I still need to change the water?

Do I still feed my fish regularly?

Can I check parameters whilst the meds are in?

There is quite a range of fish in the tank, I don't want the temp change to harm majorly so it's at 28C right now.

I've had ich before but that was a long time ago, I just had to stick through it with no meds.

Would preform 20% wc a day for about 3 days, will reduce the amount of ich in the water. If you dont have any scales-less fish or inverts you can add small amounts of aquarium salt to reduce stress on the fish. Can also boost up the temp to kill off the ich. I think its 86f but dont quote me lol.
