ich or no?

Hiya,

My male platy has suddenly gained large white spots over its eyes and 1 white spot on its body (they aren't tiny spots like ich pictures). It's being much more lethargic than usual and just resting on the bottom of the tank a lot of the time. My Cory is fine at the moment. Does this sound like ich? I want to make sure I'm treating the right thing before I buy anything. Thanks

Sounds more like a bacterial issue IMO.
Ich usually looks like salt crystals sprinkled on fish.

Both eyes being effected is usually a bacterial issue.

Yeah definitely doesn't look like salt crystals, more like cotton wool if I were to compare it to anything. I'll sort out some bacterial treatment. Thanks

I've put some disease clear in and turned the filter off for a few hours, he seems to have perked up amazingly already. Swimming around all over like he's back to normal when I was seriously worried about coming home and finding him dead earlier. Thanks for your help coralbandit x
