Ick

I'm a noob and know nothing about sick fish. (mine are all healthy- just plain old curious) I googled "fish ick" and looked at photos. It looks like white dots?? What is it? Why is it so dreaded?? Most importantly how do I keep my fish from getting it?

Parasite. Depending on what fish u have depends on treatment. Best way to prevent it is no stress on fish. Temperature and water peramaters need to be stable.
