Aquarium Advice Freak
Last night after a power outage for about 4 hours I noticed that my 3 tiger barbs have ick/ich pretty bad. I didn't notice it before the power outage. Could the fact that the motor wasn't running for awhile have done it or caused the outbreak?
This morning I now notice just a couple spots on some other fishes. I have read about the salt and heat method of treatment and is the way I would like to go but I have plecos and corys in the tank. Can I do the salt and heat method with them still in the tank or do I have to remove them? And if I remove them how do I treat them to ensure that they are clean?
Are there any other commercial methods that work that will not discolor any parts of my aquarium?
Where does this parasite come from? Did I have to cary it home on a fish from a fish store? Strange that it did Tahoe up until after the power outage though.
Poopie!!!
