Hey everyone, stocked my tank up, and one of the black mollies brought in ick! I medicated for two days and all the mollies died. There's no fish with ick left, and all the fish look great. I'm still medicating at half strength just to be sure. My question is, how long do I wait before replacing the fish!

I moved this to the unhealthy fish section.

I would stop using the meds and raise the temperature slowly to be above 86F. Leave it that way for at least 2 weeks. That will kill off any remaining ich and you can then safely restock.

I took care of ick with increasing temp to 86 and left it there for 2 weeks after I saw no spots on any fish .

Agreed the heat method is the safest way of treating ich. Medications cause stress in fish and are completely unnecessary IMO for treatment of ich.
