Hi, I have been noticing new red spots on my female betta. Just wondering if that’s normal coloration or early stages of fin rot or something else (picture attached)? I’ve been looking at pictures of fin rot but I’m not sure if that’s what’s going on here.
Thanks!

I'm not seeing the red spots you may be speaking of. Can you point them out? It all looks like normal coloration to me. Betta can change color a lot based on mood and also by age.

I guess they’re more like red splotches that start at her body and extend to her fins?

Ah OK those spots. They look like normal coloring to me. Like I stated earlier as betta fish age they can take on new color patterns or even new colors all together. Your betta looks happy and healthy.

I agree....looks like normal coloration. It's red streaks you would have to worry about.
