So I made the food for my goldfish and they love it:D
The question is how much food per fish
I poured the jello food in the dish half an inch thick and then cut
half inch squares.
How many fish would a square like that feed

Jello food? You've piqued my curiosity. Can you post the recipe?

Is this anything like boilies for carp fishing?

It all depends on how big your fish is .... and what types.

General rule of thumb - feed one mouthful at a time. You would be surprised at how big a mouthful is .... My 4" fancies can each hoover up ~1/4 teaspoon per mouthful. <Incidentally, your 1/2" cube would be about 1/2 teaspoon.>

Because "natural" food is more bulky (more water) than dry, you can feed more frequently, every 3-4 hrs if you are really trying to fatten up your fish ... but 2-3x a day is more the norm.

It may be beneficial to mix ingredients in blender.
  • How to make goldfish gel food recipe
Pour mixture onto small cookie sheet and refrigerate until set: Freeze excess divided into small portions (plastic bags) until needed. Serve at room temperature.
Your goldfish may not at first like the new flavor of gel food and may require time to become accustom to the taste and the texture. Have fun experimenting with your own recipes.

Feeding Goldfish Jello? Now that's a new one. Never heard of that before.

my goldfish love it:D
they don't float anymore cause they get a balanced meal
every time, the jello falls to the bottom so they don't swallow any air while feeding

I agree, quite the eleborate recipe you have there to whip up some gourme Goldfish food!
I bet they appreciate it, though! :D
Very nice.
