I have been battling a nasty and persistent disease in my 29G tank for some time now. I'm 99% sure it's Velvet since my Julii Cories have yellowish gold patches around their gills that become very shiny when you shine a flashlight on them. The only problem is that I've been treating the tank with Seachem's Paraguard for almost 2 weeks now and the shiny gold, while diminished, is still not gone. I'm also doing about 3 35% water changes per week. I lost 2 early on before I knew what I was dealing with. The remaining cories have stopped flashing and have been very active and seemingly healthy for the last few days.

I guess my question is, do Julii Cories normally have some shiny metallic colors around their gills and below their eyes? It would be perfect if someone could post a clear closeup of one of their healthy Juliis in the beam of a flashlight.
