Leopard Ctenopoma With Ich

Hi everyone,

I have my Leopard Ctenopoma in a 10 Gallon hospital tank and have begun treatment for Ich. Everything I have read says to raise the temp in the tank to 86 degrees and keep it there for a certain amount of time. I'm wondering if he can handle that high of a temp? I keep him in a 55 gallon planted tank at 80 degrees and he is fine but I'm scared to go higher than that because I have also read that their temp range is 67 - 77.

Will 86 degrees hurt him?

Thank you for any input.

Heather

Hi, welcome to the forum

I've never kept these so not an expert, looking at the fish care stats I would think they should be fine as long as the temperature isn't lifted too suddenly and aeration is increased. Hope the ich is going?
