Hi all. Hoping someone here can help.
I have a thriving community of Mollys but the life span of my males is fairly short, typically a year or so. They are pretty virulent during this time, frequently displaying and mating with any females they can.
My current 'lead' male is going blind, with a body colour cloud appearing over his eyes. He's still busily going around doing his 'thing' but I'm wondering if there is anything I can do for him, or is it down to 'sex burnout' meaning he's susceptible to illness?
Pics below!
The tank is a healthy, well planted Juwel 80 with community fish including Congo tetras, Mollys, European Rams, Clown Loaches, Corys and Plecs.
