let me start out by saying i am bad at math, and have no mathamatical common sense.
i have a 5.5 gal tank.
one of my fish has a boo boo so i got some melafix.
it says to use 5 ml per 10 gallons.
how much do i need to use?
like... almost three ml?
does it need to be exact? and will it hurt my snail?

5ml per 10 gallons is the same as 1ml per two gallons of water. So close to 3 ml should be fine. Don't worry too much about overdosing, its a mild natural formula that shouldn't hurt your snail or anything else besides the disease in your tank.

Read the instructions on the bottle and make sure you take out any carbon filter media you have in the tank because it will take the medication out of the water pretty fast.

It also may make your tank bubble like you put soap in for a bit...don't worry about that, it's harmless.

it would be to be exact 2.75ml of melafix for a 5.5 gallon tank. But as said it doesn't have to be exact. I would just dose 2.5-3ml and it should be fine.

also.. as said, don't forget to remove the carbon as that will just absorb the melafix.
