Sadly, I have to euthanize my betta who has advanced dropsy. I've been reading about how to do this using clove oil but all I can find locally is clove bud oil (eugenia caryophyllata). Is this the same thing?

I've called a homeopathy pharmacy near me and even the pharmacist didn't know!

Any advice is appreciated - thank you.

Clove bud oil will work just the same, it's just telling you from what specific part of the plant the oil was made.

Good luck, always sucks to lose a fish.

EDIT: It looks as if the bud oil has less percentage of the active ingredient, so you'll probably need to use more when you mix it with water. Check out the "types" section of this wiki article.
