I got the spins and almost chucked my cookies trying to watch that lol
 
Well do not see what happened or what action you took after that.

The basics are to keep the Betta tank clean, perfect water parameters for the fish to try and recover.

Do not put him back together with the Acara.

That was a great deal of stress for the Betta. And he needs time to heal. You might try some Epsom Salts and Aquarium salt to help him heal.
