If you use Ick-Attack you can get rid of both at the same time. I was trying to tell you that the high heat will make the fungus worse.

He means a tank for your new fish to go into for 2-4 weeks, a quarantine tank.

Thank you Darby for the information.

So I guess I need to buy a tank that will hold them for a few weeks? Does that tank also need to be cycled prior to adding the quarantine fish? Basically having two tanks.

Yes with a quarantine tank you will need to maintain two tanks... I have a 30 gallon that is my main tank. I also have a 10 gallon running which I use to hold any new fish. I also use it as a hospital should any fish from my 30 gallon get sick.
