Do you know your water parameters?
When was the last time you did a water change -
what size tank and filtration, have you changed the filter pads recently, or cleaned the media in tap water?
Is it cycled, how long has the tank been set up?
Any new fish recently?
I was going to ask if it was a heater burn, but you said it was a bump?
Getting that water in safe parameters is #1 for helping the fish fight off infection /get better.
