I had my oto for 5 months and there are tons of plants and algae in my ten gal tank. I found him floating at the top dead today with a full stomach and my other fishes seem fine. Did i do somethong wrong?

IME ottos sometimes "just died"....

I agree. Sometimes they just die. Check your parameters and check your other fish for signs of disease just in case.
