Pest problem? Please help!!

Is this a pest growing through my orandas tail? Been gradually growing over past few days, established tank with correct water levels.

It looks like some sort of Anchor Worm to me. I think the best way to treat the fish is to simply pull the worm off w/ tweezers.

Many thanks for your reply, i have reaf that if the worm is solit will just grow into multiple worms so a little sceptical but will give it a shot.
