Hi
I have a semi planted aquarium with guppies and mystery snails, recently I added 2 live plants out of which one is growing n one is decaying.
I provide good lighting for 6-8hrs and a filter is run half a day not continuosly. The fishes are healthy but all snails (2 big ones and 3 small ones) stopped moving all of sudden 2 days after I planned the plants. I removed them and placed in a bucket and now they're coming back to normal. I'm not sure what caused this, and 3 days later I've observed green plant dying.
I used 5-7 drops of water conditioner (I use tap water), 3 drops of liquid carbon and 2 drops of Stress relief on the day I planted.
I don't measure any of the parameters and I don't have the test kits as well.
I've also used polished black sand on the front as a base . I do 20-30% water change every 7-10 days. The adult fishes and 8 fries are doing fine.
Kindly help!
