Plecos changing colour can be symptom of poor water conditions or simply an indication of its mood, or it trying to hide.

Anything else you can tell us about whats going on? Details of the tank, how long has it been set up, water parameters etc. Perhaps a photo? What type of pleco?

it is under that rock not the best pics but hard to get one
you can just see the change in colour at its tail its the same up next to its head

It was empty about an hour and no the filter was just drained and was still wet when setting back up I didn't add the pleco till today as I wanted to do some research about adding my gold fish in with the tetra

Its possible the cycle is still established then. Until you are able to confirm this by adding an ammonia test, i would change 25% of the water daily.

Questions about this new tank.

How big is it?

Is it heated?

26c is way too warm for a goldfish.

The tank is a good size for a goldfish or 2, but remove the heater and set it up as a temperate tank if thats what you intend to keep.

Back to the pleco though. You need to identify what kind. If you can't find out from where you got it, try and get a good photo and post it in a new thread and see if anyone knows what it is. Some plecos are fine in that size tank, and will generally be good in a temperate set up. However, some plecos get big. A common pleco might get to 2' and need a 400 to 600 litre tank.
