See attached image. He is new to the tank, is this normal?

I'm still fairly new to this hobby, but my pleco changes depth of color often. I have tested my water quality based on it's color changes and have found my pleco is palest when my water quality is poor. I do a larger water change and it return to normal coloring. Funny enough it seems like the pleco is deepest in color when it has just eaten.

Since he's new, it could be just stress from the move. Just like people, fish get stressed when they are moved to a different home, usually with different inhabitants, than what they're used to. It might be better for the fish, but it's still all new. Give him a few days. Monitor your water parameters. If he's not back to normal in a few days, come back and we'll see if there's something wrong with him.
