Pleco next to heater dead

Hey everyone i had my pleco for about 4 years, yesterday I bought a heater for my 70 gal aquarium I installed it and today i woke up and everything seemed to be fine, i went out grocery shopping and when i came back i found my pleco next to the heater belly up. I run some tests on the water and everything is fine, what do you guys think he died of? I feed him everyday algae wafers, so I don't think he was because of starvation, i read something similar that happened and the guy felt his pleco's belly and it was sucked in,so people said it was because his pleco was starving but it's not the case with mine i felt his belly and mine is fine.

How big was the tank and the type of pleco?
