Possible ill Denison Barb

Hi all

I recently purchased 2 denison barbs from my local fish retailer. Both are growing well but one appears to have flakey scales and looks a little bloated. It spends most of the day beside my pump filtration unit but is still eating. i asked the fish shop for some advice and got told probably pregnant. Im not so sure.

Quick notes - total population of my tank = 10 mollys some are babies all healthy, 3 loaches all healthy and 2 denison barbs, some snails that seem to have appeared recently. Always cleaned 2 weekly and water change done. arrowhed grass. fish fed twice daily from flakes and bloodworm. Tank size 80 litres.

Any advice would be appreciated or recommendations of remedies?

Welcome to our little family.
Congrats on your choice of P. Denisonii. I have 17 in my 175gl and love them.
I can't speak as to illness, but if it were me, I'd find another person at that fish store to talk to-- P. Denisonii can't get pregers, they are egg layers.
Gotta make ya wonder about what else this person doesn't know.
There are a lot of knowledgable folks on here and I'm sure someone will chime in.
