Questions about using Prime (DEAD Fishes)

Hello. Well here's my situation. One of my platties died yesterday. I noticed it had a red blotch on his head and like a red stripe on his side. Today, another platy died but had no symptoms. I went to my local Pets and Supply Warehouse and the guy there said it is probably a combination of hole-in-head and red streaks(or something like that). He said do regular water changes for aout a week using prime and then see what happens. My question is, I have one gallon jugs. do i put the prime inside and let it sit? Do i have to filter the new water or stir it or something?

Just put in the prime few minutes before you add the water to the tank. Do you use tap water? There is need to age it, the prime will condition tap water for instant addition to you aquarium, just be sure the temperature is the same as the tank water.
