My rainbow shark has been living for 8 months in my one and a half year old tank, growing happily to approximately 12cm. About three weeks ago he started hiding continuously under the rocks in the tank. A few days later he would randomly dart full speed around the tank, bumping into decorations and glass and injuring himself. His scales went greyish and eyes clouded, so I removed him to a 15l plastic quarantine tank. After a week his eyes cleared up and regained his dark color, so I decided to return him to the tank. Within a couple of hours he was darting randomly around the tank again and breathing heavily. No other tank mates have any symptoms, and the tank parameters have been checked and correct without variations. Any ideas on what might be up with him?
