Hi I have a 56 L planted tank I had originally about 30 rcs 6 black bumble bee, 8 red bumble bee and 10 green shrimps. 3 assassin snails and hundreds of snails. But over about 6 months all I have left is 3 rcs 3 green shrimps and all the snails. My water quality is spot on and always has been. I do a 25% water change every 4 weeks. Anyone have any ideas why I'm loosing the shrimps?

That's too little water changes. They might die of too little nutrients or minerals in the water, as well as pH swings. Not sure if assassin snails eat shrimp.

What quality would be my guess. Especially for the bee shrimp. They need pristine water conditions, and a 25% every 4 weeks could have been too little. How about temperature control? They are susceptible to swings in temperature.

Another factor could be water hardness. What is your GH and KH?
