Hey guys. I have a glow fish and on its side there seems to be a puncture or hole of some sort. Sticking out of that hole is a long reddish thread. Normally I would think it's poop but it's sticking out of its side. Should I be worried?ImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1439702561.851901.jpg

Hi, welcome to AA. This sounds like anchor worms to me (although have never treated for this). Could that fit at all? One to look further into for sure as that isn't normal for a fish.

It is a camallanus worm...there are many threads on here about them...I have used levamisole to successfully treat but it is a process.

I solemnly swear that I am up to no good!
