rotten/fester found on my electrical catfish !! (with pics)

I found some rotten parts on my electrical catfish !! How shall i treat it ? i visited the LFS and they gave me a few pieces of dried leaves ... is that useful ? what kinda leaves are they ?

Give the leaves a try. Two of my favorite products, pimafix and melafix, are leaf extracts. If they carry these leaves someone has probably had success with them. The essential oils in some plants are antiseptic and thus help promote healing. Hope it works.
