At feeding time, I noticed one of my angels has a bit of fuzz (for lack of a better word) on one of its "whiskers" (what is the proper name for that btw?). Is this some sort of fungus? What should be done for it?

It looks like a fungus at the site of an injury. The first thing I would do is a pwc-high water quality promotes healing. Fungus clear tabs are a popular remedy. Pima-fix (and Melafix) wouldn't be a bad idea either.

Does the pimafix also kill off the bacteria or is it only a fungal treatment? For what its worth, I no longer see any visible signs of infection.
